How we test

​

We review products in real world, based upon their intended purpose and for as long as necessary, to arrive at a solid and fair conclusion. 

 

Typically this is 4-6 weeks, longer say if it’s been unusually dry and we’re testing waterproofs, or wet lubes. Did we stay dry, did it stay put and for how many miles? How long did those lights run between charges?  

 

You'll never find us testing abrasion resistance by subjecting clothing to a belt sander. But if we take a tumble during testing, we’ll let you know how they fared

 

Is it good value compared with similar products on the market and ultimately, would we buy it or recommend to a friend?

We ummed-and-ahhed a lot about star ratings and eventually went for the following general outline scoe system

 2.5/5 would be an average score

3-3.25/5 above average

3.5/5 good

 3.75/5 very good

4-4.25/5 excellent

4.5-5/5 being exceptional
